My Favorite Day!

OK Bloggers, I am officially the worst blogger out there. I am Soo Behind! but I do promise, however to make a more valiant effort to blog about my sessions, life, and photography tips to get you inspired to take better photos as well.  Maybe I will even share a few random things like recipes on occasion. Things could get crazy!;)But today we are going to start not where I left off in July, but where my heart is. And that would be with my husband who just returned from a 7 month deployment from Afghanistan. I usually do not talk about his service much on the blog, but this day seems fitting to let you see  how excited I was to see him come home. For once, I was not behind the camera… I am in front of it. My lovely friend desirae had the honor;) to capture our homecoming reunion. Thanks Des for being there and not missing a beat. For all you lovely photografriends, These are candid shots by someone who just has a passion to capture it for us.  These are the moments that remind me that you don’t have to always have a perfect f-stop or iso or perfectly follow the rule of thirds to have a good picture. These photos have emotion, which makes them great period.:)Challenge for the week… take out your camera, forget about the rules of photography, and just capture the emotion. This is the reason why we all take photos in the first place right? Enough about me, lets get to the photos!! ps. thanks to all the friends and family that came out to support us whether near or far. I know you would all be here if you could. We love you all and are so thankful that we have you to support us over these past 2 years.  Here is to the end of 2/5 Afghanistan deployment and the beginning of our next adventure!

Ashley

Welcome to the World, Giada!

This baby is seriously going to be the most accessorized baby you have ever seen! I brought props for the shoot, but I had so many scarves and blankets to choose from that I didn’t know which one to use! From stripes to leopard print, this girl has her baby cloths in style. Shooting Giada and her family was so much fun. They have such a good time together! Matt and Erica, I am so glad you let me be apart of this special time in your life! She is just adorable! Thanks for letting me shoot your little girl! Welcome to the World, Giada!

Welcome Home Marine!

I always love doing  military returns, mainly because they are so dear to my Heart. Being a marine spouse is so challenging and rewarding at the same time, So I always love being able to capture the precious moments of a fellow spouse and their Marine reunite. 1st Lt. Wright has been in Afghanistan with 1st LAR for the past 7 months apart of Operation Enduring Freedom.  He will be heading up to Monterrey for some more schooling. We will miss you guys down here, but we look forward to hearing about the new adventures to come. Thanks Nicolette for letting me capture this moment!! Welcome Home Marine!
